How does Long Stay parking work?
It’s quick and easy to book and park at the Long Stay car park. Just follow 4 simple steps:
Book in advance: Long Stay parking at London Stansted Airport is pre-book only, so remember to book your space in advance.
Park up: Our Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system will recognise your vehicle and open the barrier (if your car park has barrierless entry, just drive straight through). Find a space, park up, and lock your vehicle.
Take the shuttle bus: Head to the nearest bus stop. Free shuttle buses run every 15 minutes and take you directly to the terminal building.
When you return: Find your vehicle right where you left it. The ANPR system will recognise your number plate and open the barrier again when you leave, so you can just drive away.
Where is Long Stay parking located?
Long Stay parking at London Stansted is easy to locate from the Stansted Airport exit of the M11 motorway. Once you’ve parked up, it’s just a 15-minute free shuttle bus journey to the terminal building.
Directions to the Long Stay car park
From London:
Leave the M11 at Junction 8a, take the left-hand lane and follow the filter lane to the left.
At Priory Wood roundabout take the 1st exit onto Round Coppice Road, passing the Novotel hotel on your left.
At the next roundabout take the 1st exit into Stansted’s official Long Stay car park.
From Cambridge:
Leave the M11 at Junction 8 and take the A120 exit to London Stansted Airport.
At Priory Wood roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Round Coppice Road – at the next roundabout take the 1st exit, passing the Novotel hotel on your left.
At the next roundabout take the 1st exit into the Long Stay car park.
