There are a number of local cycle routes and quieter roads that link to the Airport.

You’ll find storage at the bike shelter in the Red Zone of the Short Stay Car Park or behind the Coach Station, next to the terminal building.

There is no charge for using this service.

FAQs

Can I take my bike on the plane?

Most airlines will carry bicycles but often require them to be in special boxes or bags, with handlebars sideways and deflated tyres. Please check with your airline to confirm packing requirements and weight restrictions.

Can I take my bike on the train?

Only fully-folded cycles which have been flat-packed may be carried on Stansted Express trains and Cross Country Trains accepts cycles subject to prior reservation. Please consult the relevant operator before you travel.

Can I take my bike on a coach or bus?

Some operators may carry bikes as long as they are folded in half and carried in a protective case. Please check with the relevant operator before you travel.
