About Olbia

Set on the north-east coast of Sardinia, the harbour city of Olbia is less touristy than other Italian cities, and the lack of purpose-built resorts, thriving independent boutiques and multiple piazzas lined with cafés and wine bars make it a refreshingly authentic holiday destination. Check out Corso Umberto, Olbia’s famous main street in Olbia’s Old Town, with lots of shops and bars to visit, and elegant buildings to admire.

However, it’s Olbia’s idyllic beaches that stun its visitors, with white sands and crystal-clear waters serving up a taste of paradise. Pittulongu is the main beach, a long stretch of coast with lots of beaches and bays, and Porto Istana is a popular beach on the headland of Capo Ceraso, with breathtaking views of Tavolara Island. Of course, while you may just want to sunbathe and swim in the sea, there’s also countless water sports companies offering the likes of jet skiing and windsurfing, as well as sailing experiences and boat tours around the area.
